Outstanding Program Award:

This award honors the work that has contributed to the creation of outstanding programs and is awarded to an individual in the following designations: Director, Support Staff/Admin, and Community Partner. Eligible recipients include faculty, staff, administrators, or community partners whose contributions are essential to the program’s success. These individuals go above and beyond, serving as the backbone of effective and thriving initiatives. ASPBP seeks to recognize these invaluable supporters—those without whom these programs could not operate. The awardee demonstrates a deep commitment to advancing the values of STEMM education and fostering pathways that address systemic, social, and global challenges. Their programs are models of best practices within the STEMM community and should have demonstrated a measurable impact on the success and retention of students in STEMM pathways or bridge programs, fostering belonging and addressing the diverse needs of a multicultural society. While ASPBP recognizes that programs are supported by diverse teams, this award is for an individual for the below designations. Eligible applicants can self-nominate. Three awards are available and applicants should select only one of the below designations.

  1. Director designation: This award recognizes the director of a program who has visionary leadership and whose guidance has been instrumental to the program’s success.
  2. Support Staff/Admin Distinction: This award recognizes a dedicated staff member or administrator who has made a significant impact on the success of a pathway program as a partner with an academic based pathway program.
  3. Community Partner Distinction: This award honors a community partner—such as a representative from a nonprofit, business, civic organization, or other external entity. They serve as a bridge between the program and the broader community, helping to create real-world opportunities, broaden student horizons, and ensure program sustainability. An individual will receive the award on behalf of the community partner.
